The Potter’s Pad was originally made for a woman to sell as rental space. It was one of the few three story buildings. The first and second floors were rented as office space. The third floor was a meeting place for the Celestia’s Saturday Club. It was a group of women who met and talked about politics, art, and town gossip. Also, the third floor was shared with the Eagles Lodge. There used to be a huge golden eagle then it went missing. In the 1930s, the Plymouth’s local telephone company was in that building. The City News Agency was in the building from 1962 till they recently closed. You can still go to the building at 118 N. Michigan Street. Now at the potters pad you can go and make any types of pottery that you want to. They host birthday parties and all other kinds of things.
