The Rialto Theatre was built in 1918. The building
was constructed for Clay Metsker to house the
Rialto Theatre. The buildings north bay was by the
Kewpie Sandwich Shop. Kewpie’s owner was Gus
Gavalus and was a famous diner until the mid-1900s.
Also it was a concession stand at Rialto Theatre and
patrons were allowed to bring food into the theatre.
The building’s front point changed throughout the years.
Rialto Theatre was in business from 1918-1932. Now
the Rialto Theatre is for sale currently today.
